Stefano Taschini is currently with
Altis Investment Management AG as a senior engineer, investment analytics. His responsibilities include a wide range of aspects and issues in the quantitative analysis of investments, from the performance analysis of mutual-fund managers to the risk management of investment portfolios. Stefano joined Altis in April 2007 from the high-tech industry, where he was active both as an independent professional as well as in the R&D of the
Oerlikon Group.
The author of scholarly publications on the modelling of electronic and electromechanical systems, he was previously a researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (
ETH) in Zurich and a visiting researcher at the
Shizuoka University in Hamamatsu, Japan.
Stefano holds a doctorate from the
ETH Zurich and a degree from the
University of Bologna, both in electrical engineering. He is a member of the
IEEE since 1999, and has earned the
FRM designation in 2009.
